Thank you for visiting. If you have reached this page, you may be interested in the idea of hope. Sharing hope, giving hope, receiving hope.
There are many ways we find hope in our world today, but sometimes in the societal noise, we buy into an idea often counter to hope - pushing and shoving to get noticed, to be friended on Facebook, to trend on Twitter, to go viral and get noticed on YouTube. This idea is embodied by, to paraphrase Truman Capote, "earning our 15 minutes of fame". What if we turn that idea on its head, focus outward rather than on ourselves, on others, others who need hope and change that 15 minutes of fame for ourselves into 15 minutes of hope for someone else.
Today, this site is just an idea. As a follower of Christ, I hear the call to take care of those in need, those needing hope. This idea is driven from that belief. So much of what is encompassed in this idea, happens already today through various social justice groups, churches and their ministries, social enterprise businesses whose mission comes ahead of money, and through technology that reaches out and connects. Many have shared ideas with me about implementing this concept. I truly appreciate such great input and over time will integrate the hope and value they have shared with me into something that delivers on the promise of 15 minutes of hope...delivering hope by connecting service to need.
For now, I will be starting a blog to share and document my thinking around this idea in the hope that you will share as well so that together we can be a part of delivering hope.
