Hello Friends, Family and all who care about each other,
With great anticipation we are piecing together final details for our trip to Rakai, Uganda Oct 14-25. We expect to have our hearts break into pieces as we meet generous, resilient people who daily face struggles beyond what most of us can imagine. We're traveling with our host, African Children Today. While there, we'll dedicate a bakery, welding shop and new home for four children in addition to delivering love gifts from the U.S. families who support more than 100 children.
Your invitation to join our adventure begins here.
Please make your donation online at African Children Today or by check, or we are happy to turn in your donation for you. Enjoy the attached pictures of Emma and Lauza as you search your heart and consider that a sacrificial gift may never really be missed in your own daily budget. We will be happy to bring photos and stories of the students and school back to you.
Bringing love to your piece of the world,
Kathleen & Parick Engesser

- Watch this Feed My Starving Children video to meet Emma (Emmanual), a little boy who lives in the home we are dedicating. Sweet Emma's story was the catalyst for our recent FMSC Pack at the Park held at Target Field. Emma
- Meet Lauza, a beautiful little girl who lost a father to AIDS, lost a mother who couldn't cope and was left without care by a grandmother who couldn't add her to an already full household. Lauza
- Pray for our team which includes friends from Grace Lutheran Church Andover and FMSC employees and supporters.
- Send us a recent photo of your family by Oct 11 if you'd like us to take you along. We have come to understand the value of just being with people and sharing smiles and photos to break down language barriers.
- Help us build a dormitory and school in Rakai. We're hopeful new donors (you) will raise their hand to raise a roof to raise a child. For just $15 you can purchase a sheet of roofing metal. Would you please buy one or more sheets so we can bless these children? We're NOT asking for support for our trip. We're using our sons' inheritance. After all, if we raised them right, they don't need our cash. But our family of brothers and sisters here in Rakai need clean water, food and an education. See the impact contributions can make through viewing this link from Grace Church, a long-standing supportor of Rakai: Impact through Grace Church
